St. Joseph’s College of Commerce, formerly a part of St. Joseph’s College was established in the year 1882 as an educational initiative by the French foreign mission Fathers. In 1937, the management of the college was handed over to the Jesuits, a worldwide Catholic religious order with a special focus on education. Loyola College, Chennai, St. Xavier’s College Calcutta and St. Xavier’s College Mumbai are the other premier institutions in India run by the Jesuit Order. The Department of Commerce was established in the parent college in 1949. In 1972, this department became an independent college under the name St. Joseph’s College of Commerce. It is recognized under Section 2(f) and 12B of the UGC Act. It became an autonomous institution in October 2004. St. Joseph’s College of Commerce was recognized as a “College with Potential for Excellence” in February 2010 by UGC

The college has also been consistently ranked as one of the top 10 commerce colleges in India as per a survey by India Today. The college offers 2 undergraduate and 1 postgraduate course in commerce stream. The selection for all the candidates will be done on the basis of an aptitude test, one selection round respective to the course and interview marks.

Key Points:

  • Students engaged in an International study program must have AIU sanction and should possess a grade not less than B or its equivalent.
  • Additional courses on advanced excel and personal development are included as part of the BBA curriculum.
  • Students pursuing B.Com in SJCC are encouraged to take part in other credit certification courses ranging from IFRS to theatre and personal development courses in order to improve their soft skills.
  • A sportsperson is provided 10% relaxation in marks and provided admission under Sports Quota based on their fitness level.

SJCC Bangalore M.Com Admission

Students seeking admission in M.Com must have passed B.Com/BBA/BBM degree from any recognized university and have scored at least 50% marks in the aggregate of all subjects studied in the qualifying examinations.

The final admission is based on the entrance test organized by the college. The final selection will be based on the marks scored by the students in the aptitude test and interview.

  5. The candidate who wants to apply through Net Banking can do so by entering the required details on the payment gateway website.
  6. Server will generate a 6-digit unique application number.
  7. That number has to be used by the candidate for all future correspondence.
